Recent Progress in Epicardial and Pericardial Adipose Tissue Segmentation and Quantification Based on Deep Learning: A Systematic Review

چکیده

Epicardial and pericardial adipose tissues (EAT PAT), which are located around the heart, have been linked to coronary atherosclerosis, cardiomyopathy, artery disease, other cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, volume thickness of EAT good predictors CVD risk levels. Manual quantification these is a tedious error-prone process. This paper presents comprehensive critical overview research on epicardial tissue segmentation methods, evaluates their effectiveness in terms time accuracy, provides comparison ongoing future challenges field. Described methods classified into segmentation, direct via pericardium delineation. A categorization underlying conducted with insights evolution from traditional image processing recent deep learning-based methods. The also an clinical significance as well terminology definitions used medical literature.
